25 Years of Bultex 99 — From Specialized to Modern Workwear

This year marks 25 years since Bultex 99 began operating—a trusted partner in the specialized production and supply of protective and workwear clothing and personal protective equipment. During this time, we have made special efforts and devoted ourselves entirely to our mission of providing optimal solutions for our customers. Proof that we are successfully fulfilling this goal is the strengthening of our position as a preferred partner and Bultex 99’s growing influence in the market. We are also recording growth in the export sector, which now accounts for a significant part of our activities.

We continuously strive to increase awareness and promote an understanding of how important it is to use high-quality workwear and personal protective equipment. Industry is investing more and more in good protective equipment to provide optimal safety for its employees. Today, workwear is no longer merely a mandatory safety element. In this regard, Bultex 99 is setting the trend by offering products that not only guarantee maximum protection in the workplace but also provide the necessary comfort, convenience, and modern appearance.

Our business started with a small warehouse and a team of several people, and soon began expanding in the field of specialized workwear. Our first company store opened its doors in 1999 in Plovdiv. Within a few years, the retail network grew to more than 20 locations in various cities across the country, including Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Pleven, Shumen, Blagoevgrad, and others. Today, the company operates and coordinates its activities through a modern, fully equipped retail facility, office, and logistics center. We rely on a team of 250 professionals, some of whom have more than 20 years of experience with the company. They are all dedicated to providing the equipment needed for optimal workplace safety in various industries.

We are representatives and direct importers of protective equipment and personal protective equipment from leading European manufacturers. One of our most important partners is Cerva, with whom we work on some of the most successful and modern workwear collections. We represent brands such as Utility Diadora and Puma Safety in their workwear and protective clothing ranges. We are the exclusive partners in Bulgaria of the Italian clothing and footwear brand Payper. We work with the highest-quality Italian manufacturers of protective footwear—Cofra and Panda—as well as with Dunlop in the area of protective boots. We must also mention our official representation of Goldenfit. They are highly acclaimed Italian manufacturers of medical clogs and slippers, and Giblor’s is a premium brand in the HoReCa sector. We offer Puma Albatros’s line of hiking footwear.

Univet has also entrusted us with its representation, providing eyewear and equipment for comprehensive face protection. We are partners of the Spanish company Irudek 2000, which manufactures everything necessary for fall protection.

Inspired by the idea that we could offer high-quality protective and workwear clothing manufactured in Bulgaria, we created our own brands. Stenso is the brand behind products that provide complete head-to-toe equipment, as well as personal protective equipment. Be Unique was specially developed for the hospitality and restaurant sectors. It is a wide range of corporate clothing designed to make every business distinctive. Our other proprietary trademarks include B Hold and B Safe for gloves, as well as Keep an eye for eyewear.

As the world and the market become increasingly digital, the way goods are sought and offered is also changing. To be closer to its end customers and meet their need for maximum protection and comfort in workwear, Bultex 99 created its online store, Stenso.net. With more than 5,000 products grouped into various categories, we offer a wide range of work clothes, footwear, gloves, and personal protective equipment, as well as medical and uniform clothing. The website continues its digital development by offering new features and opportunities. We will continue to improve the quality and appearance of the products we offer. We understand that workwear is not merely a mandatory and necessary element. It can now provide a good appearance and look like everyday clothing while also delivering protection and functionality.

To meet the company’s current needs and provide full control over the products we distribute, a new logistics facility has been built. Our goal is to optimize the entire supply chain by integrating a specialized order-processing system and providing 10,000 pallet spaces. This is part of a major project to expand Bultex 99’s industrial base in Plovdiv. More than 7 million leva have been invested in constructing the large complex, which has a total area of 6,500 square meters. A modern administrative section has also been established to accommodate part of the company’s continually growing team. The new company showroom allows visitors to view a large portion of the products we offer. It is thematically divided and will be updated according to the season to showcase the latest developments in the world of workwear and protective equipment.

Part of our policy is to organize various activities that include and delight our customers. For the third consecutive year, we are organizing a Christmas campaign in which we give away more than 50 gifts. Since its establishment, Bultex 99 has chosen to be a socially responsible company, but with the aim of not drawing unnecessary attention to its good deeds.
